Mancias Lab presents at the DFCI Hale Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research

The Hale Center, led by Dr. Brian Wolpin, is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of DFCI investigators dedicated to pancreatic cancer research. At their monthly meeting, the Mancias Lab presents our work on 'Compensatory Metabolic Networks in Pancreatic Cancers Upon Perturbation of Glutamine Metabolism.' The Mancias Lab looks forward to future collaborations with the Hale team!

Joe is awarded a Kimmel Scholars Award from the Sidney Kimmel Foundation!

From the Kimmel Scholars website: The Kimmel Scholars Program is a bridge in the funding gap for gifted young cancer researchers at the very outset of their careers. Annually 15 of the nation’s most promising young researchers were selected to receive this $200,000 Award by a world class Medical Advisory Board. With the pressure to secure resources eased, Scholars are emboldened to pursue innovative, imaginative investigations and to establish their models in independent research, a necessity for obtaining government grants and other backing.
