Welcome to the Mancias Lab
The Mancias Lab, located at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts is focused on the study of pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is a highly lethal and treatment refractory cancer with patients succumbing to the disease on average within 6 months of diagnosis. As the third leading cause of cancer death in the United States, pancreatic cancer patients are in desperate need of new treatment approaches. The Mancias Lab studies critical aspects of the biology of pancreatic cancer in order to develop novel therapeutic approaches. The lab takes a comprehensive approach combining biochemical, quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomic, gene editing, cell biological, and mouse modeling techniques to advance our understanding of pancreatic cancer.
